What a Pot Head

Well... we finally meet again...you and me! Isn't it so sweet that we can meet in secret,
no one knows you're here viewing.
What a world... when we can go everywhere and anywhere without moving at all!
Unfortunately, you being here is not the point... without me typing
neither one of us would be here at all.
Okay...so I went off the subject maybe it's due to the pot in the title...don't you wish...
well you're wrong if that's where your mind went!
Not that when I was much younger, Woodstock plus me,
well, that's another story!

The real story is in the photograph above...yes, the black flower pot and the pot pie. What do they have in common? One girl who has slipped another stitch and a dinner?
Tonight I was busy and thought..okay..a pot pie will do, turn on oven, open one pot pie, add to oven and what do you get?
 Dinner!
Ah, Not...with this gal...
See normally when cooking a chicken pot pie the house smells all nice and wonderful.
Just like good old home cooking. Boy, we've come along way with frozen dinners. Trust me, Woodstock plus me was better than a pot pie back then...

Needless to say, as dinner progressed I began to smell something really strange that this girl didn't recognize. This sent my nose on a mission...sniffing everything I could...was it in the air, was it me, was it the cat, the litter, were the heck was it coming from??
In my search I don't know what compelled me to finally open the oven..but I did.

Bending over to look, first I farted...not good I suppose by an oven...as you can tell nothing happened as I am here writing. I know, I'm a girl...but...lord knows... I love a good fart! LOL!
And that one was an at a boy/girl...whatever.

So I bend back down again to peek in the oven... there it was in all it's lovely glory.
My black flower pot smoking off a fume not near as delightful as the ones at Woodstock. Yes, I was cooking a Flower Pot...Pot Pie. By now you're probably wondering what a Flower Pot was doing in the oven?
Well, I was wondering something of the same the next morning after Woodstock.
How the heck did that happen??
I only leave with this....if you can guess the answer to both questions,
you're doing much better than me.

Moral of the story...one cooked pot pie with one black flower pot, does not equal as much fun as Woodstock! And no...I didn't eat the pot pie :0(

Thanks for stopping by... you sneaky little you....and don't forget the giveaway
still going on in the last post.

When Life Gives You

Birds...when one opens there curtains in the early morning..

Grab a camera and photograph them, and start performing for a lead role in the remake of the movie, The Birds.
Believe me... I couldn't believe it either...and when life gives you...

A Toad in the bottom of your cup in the garden...make sure to take a good look before attempting to fill with lemonade. And when life gives you...

A Turtle in your garden, make sure you know it's a snapping turtle before approaching!
And when life gives you blog readers....

Say thank you, for stopping by and reading!
 Have a wonderful Tuesday :0)

A Love of Life

There are so many things I love in life...how letters make words and when
combine leave a lasting impression, that touches our hearts.

How old can be something new if you just use your imagination...nothing then is really old, not even people. We too can re-invent ourselves at any age!

Even how learning a new feature...like how to enlarge a photograph on a blog...
when it doesn't seem to want to cooperate. One of my favorite things to do is learn anything and everything I can..

How I keep clicking on the photograph and it won't let me enlarge. Ah! This is one of those moments where I refer to she's, Slipped Her Stitch...oh so confused...and the first two did so well.
Okay..if you know, I need to slip the stitch back... by anyone offering help...much appreciated.
And Oh...what a beautiful photograph of old things in a gorgeous color...called Jade.

How I love the feel of a magazine in my hands...touching and turning the pages. How the writers, photographers, and creators of all these beautiful things come together so absolutely beautiful. Doesn't this magazine just scream elegance with simplicity and yes, please take me home.

So who is this Her, the one who named this new blog in her life, Slipped Her Stitch, and why?

I am AbbeyLynn....and there are so many reasons which are listed below...

1. I am a woman who loves life...even more so in my 50ties.

2. A gal who loves learning everything she can...and loves to share.

3. A knitter of 30 years, taught by my grandmother, who will show you what's in the works and photographs of things completed. A pattern or two here and there.

4.  I've been crocheting as long as knitting, my love of knitting is stronger. But, both will show up on this blog.

5. How slipping a stitch happens often in my life...many quirky moments which keep me laughing at myself. And hoping you grab a smile or a little chuckle yourself.

6. Good days, bad days, sad days, and what they mean to me and hoping they help someone who's experiencing the same. Talk about yours in the comments section, we are all here doing this together.

7. And finally...being a single empty nester, living with an adorable Cat...Ms.Bella.
